“THIEVES” RANSACK ELECTORAL COMMISSION OF ZAMBIA SILVEREST WAREHOUSE IN CHONGWE
Unknown persons have ransacked the highly guarded SILVEREST Warehouse belonging to the electoral commission of Zambia and made out with unknown quantities of sensitive goods and election equipment and machinery.
Both ECZ and the Police have chosen to keep the matter under wraps owing to the sensitivity of the matter.
The Chongwe facilities have warehouses, offices and conference centre and stocks and secures all election materials for the election body.
Following the raid on the Warehouse, the person responsible for the facility has been suspended as ECZ investigates the matter.
