A Senior Political Activist and chairperson of the Council of Elders in Mongu, Mr Mulele Mumbisho, commonly known as Mwana Muchembele has noted with serious concern the insensitivity President Hakainde has shown torwards the issue of Barotseland. President Hakainde has dug his own grave Politically by his failure to recognize the respect which was accorded to him by the people of Barotseland.

“For President Hakainde to insult the people of Barotseland and the Litunga publicly, it’s a clear indication that he is unluck and truly he can be a one term president,” observed Mwana Muchembele. The people of Barotseland were first to show other Provinces in Zambia that Hakainde Hichilema is capable of becoming President and that attracted Provinces like North Western and Central Provinces to follow suit before the rest of the country gave him the victory in 2021.

“When we see the current state of affairs in Barotseland, we are just given another opportunity to introduce Hakainde Hichilema to them in a more practical and convincing way,” narrates Mwana Muchembele. President Hakainde has never meant well for the people of Barotseland ever since he assumed the UPND Party Presidency. His agenda has been that of betrayal and oppression. The Lozis who were part of UPND when Underson Mazoka died, have a better version of President Hakainde and his attitude towards Lozis.

“I pity Lozis working with him especially people like Hon. Charles Milupi because I see him suffocating but he seems to have no option. If I was Hon. Milupi I could resign with immediate effect because I can’t work with someone who has no respect for where I come,” concluded Mwana Muchembele.
