“Indeed Heroes are never built in ease”
Mr. Paul Kasonde, The Man Who Let Humanity Fly A tribute to a soul who chose right over fear
They took your badge, But not your honour. They stripped your title, But couldn’t touch your truth.
Mr. Paul Kasonde, They say you let him through But we say, you let compassion through. You let Zambia remember itself.
You saw not a name on a list, But a life in need.
Not a politician, But once our Head of State. And you chose mercy and justice when the world around you chose malice.
It would’ve been easier, to say no. To bow, to blend in, to stay safe. But heroes are never built in ease.
You stood tall in silence, And in that silence, spoke for millions.
When late Former President Edgar Lungu needed a path, You opened more than a gate You opened a wound in this nation’s conscience. And it bled truth.
Now they call you dismissed. We call you defender.
Dismissed from post, But promoted in our hearts.
History may take its time, But justice remembers. And so will we. Because when the moment came, You didn’t serve a party You served a people.
Thank you,
