Teacher scammed R2.5 million by Tanzanian boyfriend
Nobuhle (57), a teacher, was swindled out of over R2 million by her Tanzanian boyfriend, Mark Kagame.
Their romance began in Pretoria, with Mark persuading Nobuhle to quit her job due to her being always sick.
Upon receiving pension funds post-resignation, Nobuhle deposited the money into Kagame’s uncle’s bank account, claiming she was under the influence of rituals and not thinking clearly.
Subsequently, Kagame disappeared with the funds.
The Hawks and the police maintain that Nobuhle willingly deposited R2.5 million, making it challenging for them to assist her.
