Students are dying like never before, let’s pray for them, cries UNZA student

A UNIVERSITY of Zambia (UNZA) student has made a clarion call on the country to pray against what he sees as an increase of “untimely deaths” amongst learners in the country’s universities and colleges.

George Mulabi, an Accounting and Finance student, notes that UNZA alone has lost five students in the last six months.

He stated that what is even more shocking is that these students die every month, a situation he stated disturbs the learning environment.

“I therefore call upon The University of Zambia Christian inter-fellowship  together with all the students to seek God for his divine mercy divine intervention in all this.”

“Losing friends in the same cohort and same program has disturbed our performance. I therefore call upon the nation and church at large to stand in gap for us students,” pleaded Mulabi.

According to Mulabi, UNZA has this year lost Mao Mulowa who died on 15th January, Ronnie Chinyama 23rd February, Catherine Muzyeche, 1st march, Mazambani Thansaqa 23 march,
Margret Chibesa Ķunda 6th April and
Chrispin Makomani who went to be with the Lord on the 26th of June.
