SPEEDING BUS KILLS 1, INJURES 2 IN KUKU MARKET
A LIFE has been reportedly lost this morning in Lusaka’s Kuku Market after a speeding bus driver whose identity is yet to be established, lost control of the vehicle and striked three pedestrians.
The accident occurred on Chifundo Road resulting in the death of one person and serious injuries to two others.
Details of the accident are still scanty and authorities are yet to to issue any official statement.
However, eye witnesses say following the accident the driver fled while irate residents rushed to the vehicle and grabbed the wrong person whom they attempted to beat.
Quick-thinking individuals intervened, preventing further harm and clarifying the situation as the targeted man was whisked away safely.
Police arrived on the scene and picked up the body while the two injured individuals were taken to a nearby health facility.
