Sello Maake KaNcube and Pearl Mbewe are heading for divorce as their marriage reaches a tipping point

Sello Maake KaNcube and Pearl Mbewe are heading for divorce as their marriage reaches a tipping point.

Sello Maake KaNcube, known for his role in the television series Generations, is reportedly parting ways with his wife Pearl Mbewe.

Sello Maake KaNcube opened up about the difficulties he is facing in his marriage with Pearl Mbewe.

In an interview with TshisaLIVE, Sello revealed, “I tried to make this marriage work in fear that people will judge me. I’ve been dealing with so much hell in this relationship. I am done. I want to get out of that marriage.”

He expressed feeling drained and unhappy, and added, “I have never been a problem in my marriage. My wife has been the problem. She was managing my social media accounts. I was presented as someone who was happily married when actually I lived a life of hell.”

Sello further disclosed that Pearl has driven him insane, saying, “She was trying to break me. I’ve never had joy in my life because she was trying to break me.” He also revealed that he served his wife with a protection order.

Pearl Mbewe, responded to the situation, stating that she did not sign the protection order because she had not read it. She remarked, “How do I sign for something I haven’t read? I said I’m not signing sh*t. They gave me three protection orders with wrong people’s names. Then they gave me the third one with my name.”

Mbewe described Maake KaNcube as a jealous and controlling man, adding, “He is a maniac. I’m the one who said to him, I need a breather.”

The couple, who got married in 2021, have reportedly been living separately since July 2023.

Sunday World reported in March that Maake  had approached Swanepoel van Zyl Attorneys to assist with filing for divorce.

Mbewe engaged with the same lawyers in October, requesting to finalize the divorce proceedings.

This is Maake KaNcube’s second failed union, as he previously married Palesa Mboweni in 2015 and ended the marriage eight months later.
