Ronaldo’s weight gain was not due to negligence or laziness, as some kids’ imagination might suggest.

It was actually the result of frequent injuries and long recovery periods, which required him to take medications that cause weight gain, such as cortisone. Additionally, in his later years, he suffered from hypothyroidism, a condition that required hormone therapy and other medications that also led to weight gain.

Ronaldo at one point reached a weight close to 100 kg, yet he was still running, dribbling, and scoring goals as if he were as light as a butterfly, playing the full 90 minutes.

Pick any player you know, add 10 kg around his waist, and let’s see if he can still run or if he’ll collapse face-first.

That’s why we always say… Ronaldo is like no one, and no one is like Ronaldo.

*The Phenomenon, the greatest in history.*
