President Hakainde Hichilema must priorities saving lives
Dear Editor,
I have noticed the President has taken an extended holiday in the midst of the worst cholera outbreak since 1991.
One can’t spent 12 days vaccinating his cows when thousands of people who need chorela vaccines are dying for a lack of vaccines!
Presidents take an average of 10 ten days vacation so to take 12 days showing off hefty cows on vast plush pastures and then say “we have cut short our holiday to come and provide leadership against cholera” is an insult to the collective conscience of the nation!
Exactly on the day he was personally vaccinating his cows, Zambia recorded the highest mortality rate of 27 deaths in Lusaka.
We saw the pictures of desperate relatives outside Hereos stadium treating centre waiting to hear the fate of their relatives.
The President must respect human lives.
