PEMBA VET OFFICER DIES AFTER COLLIDING WITH AN AMBULANCE IN KANCHOMBA
A Veterinary Officer from Kasiya Camp in Pemba District identified as Ackson Mwansenga has died after colliding with an ambulance in Kanchomba.
The accident happened yesterday as Mr. Mwansenga who was riding a motorbike to Kanchomba collided with an ambulance which was coming in the opposition direction.
And Pemba District Commissioner Obey Habeenzu who confirmed this to Chikuni Radio News says the Vet Officer who has served in Pemba district for over 20years died on the spot.
Mr. Habeenzu expresses sadness at the passing of the longest serving Vet officer in the district stating that his dedication to work earned him love and respect from the farmers and everyone in Pemba.
He says Government has lost a dedicating worker who diligently performed his duties to an extra mile.
Mr. Habeenzu sends his condolences to the residents of Pemba and the family of Mr. Mwansenga.
According to sources there were no injuries recorded from those in the ammbulance.
The police are yet to issue a statement.
