NKANDU WISHES CHIPOLPOLO BOYS GOOD LUCK AHEAD OF TONIGHT’S 2025 AFCON QUALIFIER ENCOUNTER

MINISTER of Youth, Sports, and Arts, Elvis Nkandu, has extended his best wishes to the Chipolopolo boys ahead of their 2025 Africa Cup of Nations (AFCON) qualifier match against Ivory Coast tonight.

Speaking in an exclusive interview this morning, Nkandu emphasised that Zambia has a strong tradition of featuring in the Africa Cup of Nations and urged the national team to give their best effort to secure a place in next year’s continental tournament.

He expressed confidence in the team’s abilities and stressed the importance of this match in continuing Zambia’s football legacy.

The Minister acknowledged that Ivory Coast is a formidable opponent but remained hopeful for a positive outcome from the Zambian side.

He called on the Chipolopolo boys to fight hard and make the nation proud, noting that the team has what it takes to compete at this high level.

Nkandu also highlighted the significance of the match for Zambia’s journey in Group G of the qualifiers, which includes Sierra Leone, Chad, and Ivory Coast. He stressed that every game in the group stage is crucial for securing a spot in the 2025 AFCON.

In his message, the Minister urged all Zambians to support the team, emphasising that the unity and encouragement of the fans are essential to the team’s success. He believes strong backing from the nation can inspire the players to perform at their best.

As the team prepares for tonight’s challenge, Nkandu expressed his hopes for good luck and a favourable result, confident that Zambia can make a significant impact on the road to the 2025 AFCON.

The match is set to kick off at 21:00 hours at Kouake Stadium in Ivory Coast.
