UPND govt is very corrupt and they think Zambia is their father’s farm where they can do anything without being questioned. This is why senior Govt officials don’t even want to be subjected to Airport protocols.
Several govt workers have been suspended or thrown in the gutter to create vacancies for their relatives. Unfortunately, Parliament is no exception as Speaker Nelly Mutti has been on rampage removing the people she found to replace them with her own.
Soon after UPND took over Govt and Nelly Mutti installed as Speaker, a number of staff started disappearing like they are being eaten by Ilomba (fictitious snake) owned by a powerful sorceress.
One of the notable victims is Mrs Cecilia Mbewe who was Clerk of National Assembly. She was replaced by Roy Ngulube after he proved loyalty to BaNelly Mutti just like Chipuba Moyo (Second Deputy Speaker).
Nelly Mutti has not been following laid down procedures to employ people of her choosing, which got the attention of the Anti-Corruption Commission of Zambia (ACC) under the leadership of Acting Director General Mrs. Monica Chipanta Mwansa.
Unlike other ACC Directors who were bootlicking the UPND Govt officials, Mrs. Mwansa summoned the National Assembly, Deputy Director in charge of Administration and Human Resource, Francis Tanganyika, for questioning at ACC.
Other staff questioned were Dominic Mwinamo, the Executive Assistant to the Clerk of the National Assembly and a Mr. Sage Samuwika, Executive Assistant to the Speaker of the National Assembly.
When Dominic and Sage were squeezed like lemons on the presser they all pointed at Francis Tanganyika. Dazzled by the striking questions and evidence before them, they started hallucinating that Francis Tanganyika enjoys immunity from prosecution when he is performing his duties and for working for the National Assembly.
When Francis Tanganyika heard that his juniors have cracked, he panicked and texted BaNelly Mutti. Francis was scared that, he would have no choice but to tell ACC officers that he was instructed by the Speaker.
Upon receiving the text message, Madam Speaker was enraged and wanted to stop the interrogation.
Like on a speed-dial she called the ACC Acting Director General Mrs. Mwansa, but the diligent woman was too busy to answer the call as she was squeezing the bolas of the trio so that he gets to the bottom of everything.
Fearing that Tanganyika would spill the beans, the Speaker drove her official motor vehicle at a supersonic speed into the busy roads of our CBD straight to ACC offices.
There was no majestic walks of a Speaker, it was like a Bemba woman going to beat an Nsenga woman who has pinched Bemba child;
In bemba we say, “Naisa kunyele”.
The Speaker almost turned the tables upside down as she shouted at the officers.
“Who do you think you are?! Why didn’t you inform me that you want to interview my staff?!”, questioned the honorable Speaker.
“You will see…. if your name comes up for ratification, you will not go through!”, vowed Madam Nelly Mutti and she walked away with her boys.
Avoiding confrontation with the Speaker, the ACC officers advised the Speaker to put whatever she was ranting about it in writing.
I will finish the story at 14:00hrs, when I will even talking about the Ministers smuggling Viagra through our Airport.
