MOTORIST BEATEN AND ROBBED AFTER BREAKDOWN AT DAIRY

A young motorist has been left with bruises after he was attacked and robbed off his cash by a gang of six thugs when his vehicle broke down at the corner of Luongo Road and Lubuto Avenue locally known as Pa Dairy.
Nicholas Malama has narrated to Lubuto Community News in a phone interview that he was driving home late Saturday night when his car developed a fault.
“I had a car breakdown while heading home last night. I was coming from the market area and used Luongo Road when my vehicle broke down near Pa Dairy,” said Malama. “I decided to sleep inside the vehicle. Around 03 I was woken up by some noises. I saw six guys trying to open my vehicle. Despite all the doors being locked through the central locking system, they managed to open one of the doors and that’s when all hell broke loose. They beat me up, took the money I had. I had about K580. Fortunately, they never got my phone as I had hidden it.”
Malama known in his circles as Jigga Lolo has appealed to the relevant authority to intensify night patrols around the area.
Malama’s attack comes barely a week after another young resident of Lubuto, William Sanimbu was attacked at the same spot by a group of five men as he was heading home around 21:30hrs.
