LUNGU JUSTIFIES CALL FOR AN EARLY ELECTION

Former Republican President Edgar Lungu has justified his call for an early election.

In a statement posted on his facebook page, the former President says the economic crisis and increasing high cost of living that has continued to harshly bite most Zambians invites the country to have an early election.

Mr. Lungu is accusing the United Party For National Development UPND administration of failing to deliver their promises aimed at improving people’s livelihoods.

His call has however not been recieved well by various stakeholders among them some youths in the ruling UPND who have since reported him to the police and is now risk being summoned.

Zambia is currently facing more than 12 hours of load shedding, increased fuel and electricity tariffs that has seen commodity prices going up.

But government says, there is light at the end of the tunnel.
