Internal Wrangles Threaten to Tear UKWA Alliance Apart as Saboi Imboela threatens to chase PF cardres.

The UKWA Alliance, a political coalition formed to challenge the ruling party, is facing internal wrangles that threaten to destroy the party from within. The latest development is a threat by NDC President Saboi to chase out PF members from the alliance, accusing them of causing divisions and undermining the party’s progress.

The tensions within the UKWA Alliance came to a head when Chanoda Ngwira, a PF cadre, launched a scathing attack in their WhatsApp group on top party officials, including President Slavwe, Sakwiba Sikota, Danny Pule, Chala Kateka, Edith Nawakwi, and Harry Kalaba. In a recorded conversation we intercepted, Chanoda Ngwira claimed that these leaders have no following and are riding on the popularity of ECL and PF members to remain relevant.

Chanoda and his fellow PF cadres are reportedly on a mission to impose ECL as the presidential candidate for the alliance, sparking resentment among other member parties. Chanoda’s statement that “there is no UKWA without ECL” has been seen as a thinly veiled attempt to hijack the party and undermine its democratic processes.

The divisions within the UKWA Alliance are deeply entrenched, with some members accusing PF cadres of trying to dominate the party and impose their own agenda. The internal wrangles have left the party directionless, with no clear strategy or leadership to speak of.

As the infighting continues, the UKWA Alliance’s political future hangs in the balance. The party’s inability to resolve its internal differences and present a united front may ultimately lead to its downfall. With the ruling party watching from the sidelines, the UKWA Alliance’s internal wrangles may prove to be its own undoing we hope and pray that they will not again accuse president HH and the UPND destabilizing Alliance.
