BANDA REFUSES TO JOIN FELLOW CHURCH LEADERS AT STATE HOUSE, SAYS HH IS NOT HIS PRESIDENT BUT LUNGU

Lusaka Archbishop Alick Banda is reportedly annoyed that the Zambia Conference of Catholic Bishops has agreed to meet with President Hakainde Hichilema at State House.

Banda strongly told the Catholic Church leaders that he would not join such a meeting because he believes Hichilema should not be President of Zambia but Edgar Lungu.

Archbishop Banda who is currently leading the Christians for Lungu organisation however demanded that if Hichilema wants to meet him, he must first allow Lungu fully take over Zambia as President even before the 2026 elections.

Highly placed sources within the leadership have disclosed that Banda has made it crystal clear that he is for the Lungu camp adding that President Hakainde Hichilema must just prepare for attacks from him (Banda) including deliberately calling on the country to rise against government.

Currently, the Catholic Church leaders across the country except for Alick Banda is meeting President Hakainde Hichilema at State House.

Banda has never called Edgar Lungu names despite all the ills and atrocities done during his rule including now because the duo have been financially happy using government funds.- Koswe
