AFTER A LONG WAIT AND DEMANDS FROM UPND MEMBERS, HICHILEMA FINALLY APPOINTS MINISTER FOR CENTRAL PROVINCE
Following demands from party members in the UPND blogs that President Hakainde Hichilema is taking long to fill up the position in Central province, President Hakainde Hichilema has finally appointed Mwabashike Nkulukusa Member of Parliament for Katuba Constituency as Minister for Central Province.
The position had remained vacant after Princess Kasune the member of Parliament for Keembe was promoted to be Justice Minister.
The UPND members complain that Hichilema takes a lot of time to fill up vacancies. They cite Luapula province where it had to take the traditional leadership to raise the issue.
Members say this move demotivates members of Parliament and general members who feel President Hichilema has no confidence in them.
Others attributes the delays to him having to do everything and gets overwhelmed hence forgetting.
