ACC TO OPEN 12 MORE BRANCHES

THE Anti-Corruption Commission – ACC is in the process of opening offices in 12 more districts across the country, to ensure that commission services become more accessible to members of the public.

ACC Head – Corporate Communications Officer Timothy Moono says the move is in view of the increased economic activity in various parts of the country, arising from the increased Constituency Development Fund – CDF.

Moono says the commission has repositioned itself to ensure that it is present in these areas so that the procurement processes are undertaken correctly, opportunities for corruption addressed and value for money realized.

Moono says these districts will include Ndola, Chinsali, Serenje, Nakonde, Chililabombwe, Sesheke, Petauke, Lundazi, Kawambwa, Mpulungu Kasempa, and Mwinilunga.

He was speaking as he presented the ACC’s First Quarter Media Briefing for 2023, in Lusaka on today.

Moono also informed the media that the Commission has so far made eighteen arrests in the matter in which it is investigating alleged abuse of office against officials from the Ministry of Finance.
