This morning, we received the preliminary findings of the forensic audit on the Ministry of Health, specifically the Zambia Medicines and Medical Supplies Agency (ZMMSA).
This audit, which we commissioned, marks a significant milestone in our fight against corruption and our quest to enhance service delivery in the healthcare sector.
The audit, which covers January 2023 to December 2024, has exposed the selfish individuals who have been profiting from drugs meant to benefit our people. We are committed to fighting corruption in all its forms and ensuring that our healthcare system is transparent and accountable.
We are grateful to our cooperating partners for their support in this endeavor. We won’t tolerate corruption in our healthcare system, and we will continue to undertake audits in all key sectors to ensure that our institutions are serving the people, not just a few individuals.
