WOMAN DIES AFTER JUMPING FROM MOVING BUS IN LIVINGSTONE
A 20-year-old woman from Linda Compound in Livingstone has died after jumping off a moving Mitsubishi Rosa Bus under unclear circumstances.
The deceased, identified as Milimo Mudenda, was pronounced dead upon arrival at Linda Clinic, having sustained nasal and mouth bleeding, as well as a fractured left hand.
Confirming the incident, Southern Province Deputy Commissioner of Police, Moono Namalongo, stated that the accident occurred around 21:30 hours along Kunwa Road in Linda Compound on 24th October 2024.
The driver of the bus has been identified as 39-year-old Fortune Mwenda from Mulala Compound.
Namalongo noted that the remains of the deceased are at Batoka Hospital Mortuary awaiting a postmortem.
