Reinstate ECL security – Miles
PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema should consider to immediately reinstate the security detail of his predecessor, Zambia’s Sixth President Edgar Lungu whose life is constantly under threat with the latest being the attack on him by the UPND cadres in Chingola, Miles Sampa has said.
Mr Sampa is urging President Hichilema to use his discretion and ensure that former President Lungu’s safety was guaranteed because as things were, the former President was a target of attacks.
“This is for the good of the nation. If, God forbid, he is harmed, it is Zambia’s name that will be compromised, not the name of any political,” Mr Sampa said.
“If ECL (former President Lungu) can receive security upon landing in South Africa or Malawi, why not in his own country?” he asked.
