Its honestly hard to understand what we Zambians want

Its honestly hard to understand what we Zambians want.

After 2017 we complained about George Lwandamina that he was only good at club level and said we needed another coach.

In stepped Wedson Nyirenda and we complained that we don’t need local coaches as they have personal issues with players so we now wanted a foreign coach.

Then came Sven Vandenbroek who had won the 2017 AFCON as an assistant.

Within a short period we complained that he was still young and a social media coach and we again needed a local coach who understood our football.

After that we picked a local coach in Aggrey Chiyangi whose Green Eagles team was on the rise.

No sooner that later we complained that he was using favoritism and only picking players from his club Greem Eagles.

Some said that Aggrey hadn’t won anything and we needed to pick a Zambian coach who had won trophies.

We then picked Beston Chambeshi who had won titles with Nkana and the AFCON Under 20 but again within a short period we said he was clueless and made wrong decisions.

Again the call was for a foreign coach, but this time one who understood African Football.

We picked Micho who had been in Africa for 20 years and had coached some of the Big African clubs.

Micho came and we then said that he had no clue of coaching and accused him of being a football agent and that we needed another European Coach who could manage our big name players featuring in the Top European leagues.

Croatian Coach Aljosa Asanovic arrived but failed to qualify for CHAN and we said he was a bad coach and was only here to make money.

We then cried for a Coach who had coached at the top level in Europe as well as had coached a top African Nation.

Avram Grant came in with credentials of having reached a UEFA Champions League final and Africa Cup of Nations Final and Semi Finals with Ghana.

Grant qualified Zambia to the AFCON for the first time in 8 years a situation which the previous seven coaches hadn’t managed to achieve.

Zambia remains second and still in the AFCON Qualifying slot.

But now we are accusing Grant of being too old and tactically clueless, also that he is being controlled by an Isreali football agent to feature only the agents players in the Zambia National Team.

We are also accusing him of being the worst coach in Zambias football history.

Again Zambians have began the cry for a local Zambian coach who will respect Zambian Players.

The cry now is for Zambia to follow in the footsteps of Senegal and Ivory Coast and employ only local coach.

Please NOTE that over the last 10 years Zambia has only had a coach for an average of 15 months so Grant has actually exceeded the period.

But Heck. I’m sure FAZ will again give fans what they want and bring in another coach.
