Former Defence Minister, Geoffrey Bwalya Mwamba popularly known as GBM has been sentenced to five years imprisonment with hard labor in a matter he was charged with 24 counts of failure to declare interest and being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
In this matter, Mwamba pleaded not guilty to eight counts of conflict of interest, one count of money laundering and 15 counts of being in possession of property suspected to be proceeds of crime.
