Gary Nkombo lives in Shimabala in Chilanga area. For regular users of the toll-gate a structure exists where registered vehicles pay K2 instead of the K20.
In 2021, Nkombo registered 4 vehicles at the Shimabala Toll Gate as a regular user.
As at 30th June, 2024, Nkombo has registered 20 luxury vehicles at the toll gate.
It is these brand new luxury vehicles registered at the NRFA data base that attracted attention of the ACC investigators The ACC opened investigations to understand how Nkombo bought these luxury vehicles.
President Hakainde Hichilema has dissolved the ACC board in a move that has been seen as a cover-up.
