Now nine PF MPs want court to nullify Sampa’s election as president

NINE Members of Parliament from the Patriotic Front (PF) have instituted legal proceedings against Miles Sampa in the High Court, seeking a court order to nullify his election as party president.

Notwithstanding the earlier five legal challenges filed before the Constitutional Court and High Court, which failed to resolve the issue of Sampa’s legitimacy as party president, Mporokoso Member of Parliament, Brian Mundubile, and eight other parliamentarians are pursuing a similar legal challenge, seeking to invalidate Sampa’s election as party president.

According to the matter filed before the Lusaka High Court yesterday, Mundubile and others seek an injunction a permanent injunction to stop Sampa from holding himself as party president.
