PRESIDENT Hakainde Hichilema has promised Zambians that he will reach out to former President Edgar Lungu in order to stop political tension in the country.
Mr Hichilema said reaching out to Mr Lungu will be cardinal so that peace reigns in the country.
Speaking when he graced the Reformed Church of Zambia 125 celebration in Lusaka yesterday, the Head of State said he has heard the advice from the Church and other stakeholders to ensure that he make peace with Mr Lungu and that will be done.
President Hichilema said he means well because he does not want to see protests and bloodshed in the country as it is happening in other countries.
Mr Hichilema said peace is paramount therefore he would ensure that peace reigns in the country. “I heard your message and you can take it that your message is taken in and we will do our part reach out to our colleagues including ECL himself so that we can talk to each other.
