MUTALE MWANZA CHARGED FOR CARELESS DRIVING

December 21, 2023- Police at Long Acres recorded a Slight injury road traffic accident which occurred on yesterday December 20, 2023 at around 17:03 hours along Danny Pule Road near Little Learners School.
Involved was M/Mugala Mabvuto Kennedy aged 63 of house plot number 217A Mutendere Township who was driving a Toyota Hilux registration number ALD 8882 from South to North whose damages were depressed tail gate, depressed rear bumper, tail lights and tail gate break lights. On board the Toyota Hilux were the following passengers who have been identified as follows:-
1. M/Masava Emmanuel aged 22 of unknown residence.
2. M/Banda James aged 25 of house number 09 /12 Ng’ombe compound.
3. M/Muchesa Shadreck aged 23 of Chipata Compound and
4. M/Kuma Leonard aged 39 years of Kalingalinga.
All the passengers complained of general body pains and were treated and discharged at University Teaching Hospital.
Also involved was F/ Mutale M. Mwanza aged 36 of House number 1704 Ibex hill who was driving a Toyota Fortuner registration number BAV 9710 from South to North whose damages were front bumper, bonnet, grill, radiator, both headlamps.
The Accident occurred when the driver of Toyota Fortuner Misjudged clearance distance, hence hit into the Toyota Hilux which was in front of her.
She has since been charged for careless driving Contrary to Section 154(1) and is yet to pay the Admission of Guilty fine.
