“REZA GUYS!” BRAMO HIT WITH A FRESH COURT CHARGE!

Social media personality and “Pambukilo” hitmaker Abraham Zika, popularly known as Bramo, has found himself facing another twist in his ongoing court battle.
Bramo, from Lusaka’s Matero Township, appeared before the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court, where the Court was informed that he is facing a fresh charge similar in nature to the existing charge of threatening violence against his mother.
But there was a catch the docket and record relating to the new charge were not before the Court.
The matter has since been adjourned to October 1, 2026, for mention.
His existing threatening violence case has also been adjourned to the same date, allowing his defence team from Makebi Zulu Advocates to familiarise itself with the fresh charge before proceeding with a re-application for bail pending trial.
Zika is accused of threatening violence against his mother, Beauty Masumbuko, on May 18, 2026. It is alleged that he wielded a machete and uttered words to the effect that he would kill her, allegedly causing her distress. The allegations remain untested in court.
For now, details of the fresh charge remain unclear, as the relevant docket and record were not available when the matter came before Court.
Bramo first came to the attention of the public through his viral catchphrases “Reza” and “Ompwee”, which quickly became popular on social media.
In 2019, he was arrested in connection with a spate of robberies and aggravated robberies and spent time in prison before returning to society. He later pursued music as a career and released songs including “Pamasule.”
For now, Bramo remains in custody at Chimbokaila, where he can perhaps only tell his fellow inmates, “Reza guys!” as he waits to return to the Lusaka Magistrates’ Court on October 1, 2026.
And whether the next court appearance brings clarity on the fresh charge remains to be seen.
