Lusaka dad arrested over sex with biological daughter, 18
POLICE in Lusaka have arrested a biological father after he allegedly had sex with his own 18-year-old biological daughter, on several occasions.
Police spokesman, Godfrey Chilabi says the suspect was apprehended yesterday, in Chazanga Compound following investigations into allegations that he had carnal knowledge of his daughter between July and September this year, 2026.
He says the case came to the attention of police after a video circulated on social media on September 24, in which the woman alleged that her biological father had carnal knowledge of her.
Following the revelation, Police instituted investigations which led officers to establish the identity and whereabouts of the suspect.
According to Police preliminary investigations, the woman allegedly left home following the incidents and began living on the streets.
Chilabi says, Police Child Protection Unit officers, working with the woman’s family, later located the alleged victim, while the Department of Social Welfare has been engaged to provide further support services.
The suspect, whose exact age is yet to be established, remains in police custody as investigations continue into the alleged offence of incest, contrary to Section 159 of the Penal Code, Chapter 87 of the Laws of Zambia.
Police have urged members of the public to report suspected cases of sexual abuse.
The public has also been cautioned against sharing information, images or videos that could reveal the identity of the alleged victim or cause her further trauma.
