Tshisekedi Arrives in Israel for Working Visit
President Félix Tshisekedi arrived in Israel on Monday, August 31, at the invitation of Israeli President Isaac Herzog, as the DRC and Israel continue strengthening bilateral relations.
During the visit, Tshisekedi is expected to meet President Herzog and Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu in Jerusalem.
According to the Congolese presidency, discussions will focus on several strategic sectors, including security, defense, agriculture, infrastructure, energy and high technologies — areas Kinshasa considers important for the DRC’s development and sovereignty.
This marks Tshisekedi’s second official trip to Israel, following his 2021 visit.
Relations between Kinshasa and Tel Aviv have gained further momentum since President Herzog visited the DRC on November 11, 2025
