ZAMBIA TO HOST ANOTHER DIGITAL GOVERNMENT AFRICA SUMMIT IN OCTOBER
…as two MoU’s have been signed with Africa Brains and Visa International Service Association in preparation of the summit

LUSAKA – Smart Zambia says it will this year in October host the 2024 Digital Government Africa (DGA) Summit.
And Smart Zambia has signed two Memoranda of Understandings (MoUs) with Africa Brains and Visa International Service Association who have partnered with the government in the preparation of the Summit.
Smart Zambia National Coordinator Percy Chinyama who announced this development said the summit will run from 2nd to 4th October.
Mr Chinyama announced this development during the signing ceremony of the MoU’s that Zambia will host the 2024 Digital Government Africa (DGA) Summit in Lusaka from 2nd to 4th October this year.
Zambia hosted a successful DGA Summit last year that saw former British Prime Minister Tony Blair, President Hakainde Hichilema and over ministers from various African Country among other participants.
Meanwhile, Mr Chinyama said that the summit which is a platform that invites other African countries to collaborate with Zambia to develop the digital sector also takes interest of the local people.
Mr Chinyama said Smart Zambia has since rolled out a number of achievements which have elated the government.
He said Zambia has an opportunity during this digitalization journey to work with partners and grow this technology at the same pace.
Meanwhile, Africa Brains and Visa International Service Association have partnered with Smart Zambia in the preparation of the forthcoming Summit
Meanwhile, Africa Brains Chief Executive Officer, John Glassey, applauded Zambia for their efforts in the adoption of digital technologies in public service delivery.
And Visa International Service Association Public Policy Director, Svyatoslav Senyuta, said the association will work with the already existing service providers and payment platforms developed by Smart Zambia.
