TRAINING OF POLL STAFF POSTPONED IN LUSAKA DUE TO ADMINISTRATIVE CONFUSION

Reports emerging from Lusaka indicate that the much-anticipated training session for polling staff did not take place as scheduled, sparking significant concern among electoral stakeholders.

Sources explained that although those selected as polling officials arrived for the training, their registration details were allegedly mixed with another confidential list, causing considerable confusion.

According to eyewitnesses, the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) was compelled to postpone the training after discovering discrepancies in the lists of staff names.

This misalignment reportedly led to strong objections from the attendees and election supervisors alike, who questioned the integrity of the process.
