MUNDUBILE, MAKEBI AND KAMPYONGO GASSED AND KILLED PEOPLE – SAYS HICHILEMA
In a public address to the people of Pemba, President Hakainde Hichilema made serious allegations against Brian Mundubile, Makebi Zulu, and Stephen Kampyongo.
He accused them of gassing civilians where about 46 people died, carrying out arbitrary arrests, and being responsible for the deaths of Joseph Banda, Mapenzi Chibulo, and Lawrence Banda.
Following his speech, some members of the public have challenged the veracity of his claims.
They insist that if Hichilema possesses concrete evidence to support these serious charges, Mundubile, Makebi, and Kampyongo should be promptly reported to law enforcement authorities for formal investigation.
Many describe his statement as a collection of blatant falsehoods aimed at winning votes by deepening existing divisions within the country.
Instead of presenting constructive policies and ideas to justify why citizens should re-elect him, the president has resorted to divisive rhetoric that only fosters distrust and heightens tensions among different groups.
