CHIEF KALUNGA ENDORSES UPND, CITES DEVELOPMENT GAINS
Chief Kalunga of Kabompo District in North-Western Province has declared his support for the UPND and President Hakainde Hichilema ahead of the forthcoming general elections, citing significant development recorded in the province over the past five years.
Speaking through a speech read on his behalf by Chivueka National Executive Committee Chairperson Jonas Lumbala during the Chivweka Traditional Ceremony, the traditional leader said the government’s development agenda had transformed communities across the province.
Chief Kalunga said the construction of chiefs’ palaces reflected the government’s recognition of the role traditional leaders play in governance and national development.
He added that his chiefdom had also benefited from the enhanced Constituency Development Fund (CDF), particularly through the construction of crossing points that had improved connectivity and access to essential services.
The traditional leader said the UPND deserved a second term to consolidate the development gains achieved and sustain the country’s development trajectory.
