THE EUROPEAN UNION ELECTION OBSERVATION MISSION HOLDS TALKS WITH MUNDUBILE’S TEAM

The Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance, led by Brian Mundubile, today met with the European Union Election Observation Mission (EU EOM), which is currently in Zambia to evaluate the country’s electoral landscape ahead of the 2026 General Elections.

This engagement provided an opportunity for dialogue around the importance of credible electoral processes and the role of international observers in supporting democracy.

During the meeting, Mundubile emphasized the alliance’s firm dedication to ensuring that Zambia’s upcoming elections are free, fair, transparent, and credible.

He highlighted that the integrity of the democratic process is paramount for maintaining public trust and the legitimacy of elected representatives.

Furthermore, Mundubile called for enhanced international election observation, arguing that a greater presence of impartial observers would strengthen voter confidence and mitigate doubts about the electoral process.

The Tonse-Pamodzi Alliance’s interaction with the EU EOM also underscored the significance of collaborative efforts between local political groups and international bodies to safeguard democratic norms.
