ACCREDITATION OF POLLING AGENTS IN LIMBO

Kennedy Kamba, Deputy Secretary General of the TONSE Pamodzi Alliance has criticized the Electoral Commission of Zambia (ECZ) for its significant delay in accrediting polling agents, labeling it as unacceptable.

With only one month until polling day, Kamba emphasizes the difficulty of accrediting agents for 13,529 polling stations, each requiring two agents.

He notes that despite promises of online accreditation made a month ago, the process has yet to commence.

Kamba expresses concerns over the ECZ’s fairness and transparency, particularly regarding its treatment of opposition political parties, and demands an explanation for the delays in accreditation.
