ECONOMIC DEVELOPMENT WITHOUT SAFEGUARDING HUMAN RIGHTS IS FUTILE – SAYS MUNDUBILE

During a lively election rally in Samfya, Brian Mundubile, the presidential candidate representing the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), said that economic progress without the essential safeguarding of human rights is ultimately meaningless.

He explained that pursuing development like the way the current government is doing while neglecting fundamental freedoms undermines both justice and sustainability.

Mundubile insisted that genuine economic growth relies on ensuring that individuals are free, protected, and empowered to participate fully in society.

He pledged that if elected, his administration would prioritize the protection of human rights alongside economic policies.

This includes strengthening legal frameworks to defend civil liberties, enhancing access to justice, and fostering social inclusion.
