SHOCKING CLAIM: “Kenya Should Pay Britain, Not the Other Way Around!”
A heated debate has erupted after former UK Home Secretary claimed that Kenya 🇰🇪 and other former British colonies should compensate Britain for its colonial past—instead of Britain paying reparations.
Braverman argued that the British Empire helped build roads, railways, institutions, and systems of government in many of its former colonies. She also insisted there is no legal basis for modern Britain to pay reparations for slavery and colonialism.
While acknowledging that slavery was morally wrong, she said people living in Britain today should not be forced to pay for actions committed centuries ago.
Her controversial remarks come as Jamaica 🇯🇲 prepares to petition for reparations over Britain’s role in slavery and colonialism.
💬 Do you agree with Suella Braverman’s statement, or should Britain pay reparations to its former colonies?
