Honourable Brian Mundubile, National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP) presidential candidate, said that he is determined to restore Zambia, claiming the country has faced “darkness” for five years under the United Party for National Development (UPND) administration.
At a rally in Mungwi, he said that the UPND is the worst government when comes to the erosion of constitutional freedoms, instilling fear in citizens regarding free expression, assembly, and association.
Mundubile promised to restore these rights, ensure accountability of leaders, and allow opposition parties to hold rallies freely.
He criticized the deteriorating public confidence in the police, highlighting that citizens now fear law enforcement instead of feeling safe.
Mundubile pledged to uphold the rule of law and expressed gratitude for his party’s nomination alongside Makebi Zulu as vice-presidential candidate.
