KAFWAYA’S VIEWS DO NOT REPRESENT THE NRPUP OR TONSE ALLIANCE – SAYS MUNDUBILE
Honourable Brian Mundubile, the presidential candidate for the National Reconciliation Party for Unity and Prosperity (NRPUP), has addressed remarks by Tone Alliance Chairperson Honourable Mutotwe Kafwaya, who stated that Western Province does not need an international airport.
Mundubile expressed gratitude to the Barotse Royal Establishment (BRE) for allowing the NRPUP to clarify its stance.
He emphasized that Kafwaya’s views do not represent the NRPUP or Tonse Alliance, acknowledged Kafwaya’s forthcoming apology, and reassured the BRE that no Alliance member will oppose development across Zambia, including Barotseland.
He vowed to work closely with royal leadership to deliver inclusive development and highlighted unfulfilled promises made to Barotseland, including projects like King Lewanika University and a stadium.
Mundubile talked about the frustration felt by the people due to past leaders’ failures and urged Zambians to consider the NRPUP as a distinct option for restoring trust in governance.
He outlined plans to collaborate with the BRE to pinpoint priorities for Barotseland, such as improving road infrastructure, investing in agriculture and local employment, enhancing educational standards, and upgrading airport facilities.
He pledged to transform Barotseland and Zambia through genuine reconciliation, support for agriculture, and local engagement, expressing his eagerness to share his vision with the people during upcoming campaign visits.
