“Russia Is Going Through A Lot….”

President Vladimir Putin has openly admitted that Russia is going through a lot that has taught Russia a lot.
He is right about the suffering. He is wrong to pretend he is not the cause of it.
What Russia is suffering today was caused by Putin himself. It was his decision, and his alone, to try to expand Russia’s influence globally by attacking Ukraine. That gamble has failed. Three years into a war he thought would take days, Russia stands isolated, sanctioned, and bled dry, with nothing to show for it but graves and ruins.
Russia’s economy is on oxygen support. The war budget is consuming the nation, skilled workers have fled by the hundreds of thousands, factories run on wartime orders instead of real growth, and the ruble survives only on capital controls and oil sold at a discount. The future has been mortgaged for trenches in Donetsk.
And more. More mothers receiving death notices. More sons coming home maimed. More towns emptied. More of Russia’s best minds and best years lost to censorship, fear, and a lie about restoring greatness. The world that once did business with Moscow now turns away. The influence Putin craved has collapsed into pariah status.
This was a choice. It was not NATO, it was not history, it was not necessity. It was one man deciding that another sovereign nation could be erased.
So I make this plea to Vladimir Putin: see reason, and let this war end. Stop sending Russian men to die for an empire that will never return. Stop bombing Ukrainian cities to punish a people for refusing to submit. There is no victory left to win here, only more loss to stop
Ukraine will survive. No matter how many you kill, no matter how many cities you flatten, no matter how long you try to break them, Ukraine will survive.
Let Russia survive too.
