PARTEY CLEARED FOR TAKE-OFF! COURT OVERTURNS VISA BAN AS GHANA STAR RUSHES TO WORLD CUP
Ghana have received a massive boost ahead of their 2026 FIFA World Cup campaign after midfielder Thomas Partey won a legal battle that cleared the way for him to enter Canada.
The former Arsenal F.C. star had initially been denied a visa, throwing his World Cup participation into serious doubt and sparking concern among Black Stars supporters. However, an Ottawa court stepped in on Tuesday and overturned the earlier decision, granting Partey permission to travel and join his teammates.
The ruling means the influential midfielder is now available for Ghana’s Group L opener against Panama on Wednesday.
Partey’s arrival is expected to strengthen a Ghana side facing one of the tournament’s toughest groups, with clashes against England and Croatia also looming.
For Ghana, the court victory could prove just as important as any result on the pitch as they begin their quest for World Cup glory. 🇬🇭⚽🏆
