DON’T BELIEVE THE LIES!
In the last four days, I’ve seen a post on Honourable Chibuye’s Facebook page claiming that I did nothing during my time as Member of Parliament.
Wonders shall never cease.
I want to invite you, the people of Roan Constituency and the wider Zambian public, to compare what I delivered versus what he has done. Let the facts speak for themselves.
Below are just some of the projects I undertook while serving as your MP:
1. Donated K4 billion (K4 million rebased) worth of hospital equipment, including:
· 3 dialysis machines
· 1 X-ray machine
· 1 dental X-ray machine
· 1 dental chair & instruments
· Various medical lab equipment
· 30 state-of-the-art hospital beds (in Gynie Ward)
· 1 ECG machine
· 4 emergency examination beds
· 1 heart resuscitation machine
· 10 BP machines
· 30 side bed cabinets
· 30 wheelchairs
· 6 office cabinets
· 3 baby incubators
· 3 physio equipment pieces
· 100 crutches, plus many more medical and theatre instruments
2. 2 ambulances for Roan General Hospital
3. 1 ambulance for Section 9 Clinic
4. 1 ambulance for Kawama Clinic
5. 1 ambulance for Section 25 Clinic
6. Generator set for Section 9 Clinic
7. Generator set for Section 25 Clinic
8. Generator set for Roan General Hospital OPD
9. Generator set for Kawama Clinic
10. Built Kawama Clinic with a maternity annex
11. Built Section 3 Clinic
12. Built mini hospital at Maposa
13. Built mini hospital at Section 25 Clinic
14. Built Taveta Skills Training Centre in Section 4 (which they have failed to complete)
15. Electrified the clinic, school, and houses at Chilabula
16. Bought 20 desks for Chisokone Primary School
17. Educated 16,000 children through bursaries in Roan Constituency (secondary & tertiary)
18. Rehabilitated 12 km Roan–Mpatamato road
19. Rehabilitated 20 km of township roads in Roan and Mpatamato to tarmac
20. Built school hall at Nkulumashiba Secondary School
21. Built school hall at Twashuka Secondary School
22. Built science laboratory at Twashuka Secondary School
23. Donated 15 computers to Mpatamato Secondary School
24. Donated 15 computers to Nkulumashiba Secondary School
25. Donated 15 computers to Roan Antelope Secondary School
26. Donated 15 computers to Twashuka Secondary School
27. Lobbied for a community bus from Luanshya Copper Mine
28. Created 14 cooperatives
29. Introduced fertilizer support – Luanshya Copper Mine
30. Bought a tractor for garbage collection & lawn mowing for Roan Constituency
31. Bought a tractor for agricultural cooperatives in Roan Constituency
32. Rehabilitated Roan Police Station
33. Rehabilitated Roan General Hospital OPD & wards to international standards
34. Gave empowerment grants to over 50 clubs in Roan Constituency
35. Built toilets at Mpatamato Primary School (with help from Bayport)
36. Donated textbooks to all secondary schools in the constituency
37. Donated keyboards to all secondary schools in the constituency
38. Gave 4 exercise books each to all qualifying Grade 8 & Grade 10 pupils annually
39. Built Mpatamato market shelter
40. Rehabilitated Roan market shelters
41. Built a primary school at Maposa
42. Built Kalulu Primary School at Section 27, Mpatamato
43. Electrified Kawama Township
44. Connected Kawama Township to piped water
45. Constructed a bridge at Kawama stream
46. Constructed tarmac from Section 25 to Kawama Township
47. Gave open pits 6 to small-scale miners
48. Lobbied and pushed for the opening of Mulyashi open-pit mine
49. Donated computers to churches in Roan Constituency
50. Donated one hammer mill to UCZ Mpatamato Congregation
51. Donated hammer mill to St Charles Catholic Parish, Mpatamato
Contributed to the building UCZ Church in Mpatamato
53. Helped with build over 10 churches across the constituency
54. Contributed towards the building of Section 1 Catholic Church
55. Donated 400 roofing sheets to various churches in Roan Constituency
56. Introduced fertilizer support for viable but vulnerable small-scale farmers in peri-urban areas
57. Gave working capital to over 100 marketeers across Roan Constituency
58. Adopted and supported over 40 poor families, especially the elderly, with basic needs & second-hand clothing
59. Donated blankets to over 50 elderly people across the constituency
60. Bought 80 blankets for Roan General Hospital
61. Degazetted Maposa forest land and allocated 200 farmers 3 hectares each
62. Degazetted Chendamunda forest and allocated over 100 farmers 3 hectares each
63. Fought for allocation of Mailange farming land
64. Electrified Makoma Primary School
This is why I say: wonders shall never cease.
How can anyone say we failed? Insoni ebuntu.
And mind you, all this was achieved when CDF was only K1.6 million, compared to the K40 million available today.
I invite you to compare and contrast. As you go to vote don’t vote a government of liars, by the liars for the liars
