Lusaka man divorces slay queen wife who married him for money

THE public gallery of the Matero Local Court last Friday buzzed with sighs of shock and disbelief as it heard how a 38 year old man from Lusaka’s Ibex Hill left his heavily pregnant wife for his slay queen employee who secretly organised a Chilanga Mulilo for him while he was still married.

Julius Kalolo, a height-disadvantaged man belonging to the tribe that recently rejoiced in smearing white powder on the “chiefless” and orphaned Ngonis, came crawling to the court, crying that he be divorced from the tax collector and domestic affairs manager also known as housewife, who married him for his money.

Facts before the court were that in 2022, Kalolo, then a married man, was doing well with properties and cars while Deborah Chambala, 28, a fair skinned voluptuous slay mama was working for him in one of his shops.

That year, Kalolo had a heavily pregnant wife at home, whose marriage Deborah coveted so much that she decided to start widening her legs for her boss so she could also become a “Mrs Boss.”

Thinking that Kalolo would spend on her in marriage like a politician during campaign season, Deborah hastened to seal the marriage deal.

In her area and according to her level, Kalolo was as famous as one of the world’s most famous football star Cristiano Ronaldo and as rich as Elon Musk.

While his pregnant wife was waiting to be moisturised at the time she needed it most, Kalolo was using his energetic breeding hosepipe to sexually satisfy Deborah, who later organised a Chilanga Mulilo for him secretly.

On the day of the said Chilanga Mulilo, the wife was tipped by nosy individuals with mouths as sharp as a parrot that her husband was somewhere in Lusaka getting married.

It was discovered that before the duo’s Chilanga Mulilo in 2023, Kalolo and Deborah cohabited throughout 2022, with thrilling and ecstatic sexual episodes that would even shock movie star from The Polygamist, Jonasi Gomora’s sprawling romantic empire.

After the wife discovered this, Kalolo was forced to divorce her to concentrate his energy and strength on drilling Deborah’s slippery and ever ready forbidden fruit.

The married man picked an outsider over his own wife, the way African nations supported Mexico instead of the Xenophobic nation of South Africa in the opening match of the FIFA World Cup.

However, in just three years of marriage, things turned from milk to mabisi for the adulterous man, who has now, without shame, defected back to his first wife like a cadre whose political party has no chance of winning the upcoming general election.

Unlike St Kalolo Lwanga of Uganda, this Kalolo has refused to be burnt alive for his actions and has decided to escape the fire set by Deborah.

He told the court that after he left his first wife who he has three children with, for the slay queen, he discovered that all she ever wanted from him was his money.

He explained that he had known no peace in that marriage because the ‘melanin-less’ wife was always clubbing and taking Vinchenzo’s favourite drinks which contain ethanol every day.

He lamented that things got worse when his money suddenly disappeared like blood money.

“She used to sleep out and drink beer a lot. When we shifted to another place, she found a divorced neighbour who started influencing her misbehaviour. At some point, my businesses collapsed so much that we started living with her parents. Despite living with her parents, she would go out at night to drink,” he said.

“I then discovered that she was not only drinking but also sleeping with different men for money.”

Afraid of freezing to death as winter temperatures begin to hit dangerous lows this June, Kalolo has pleaded his way back into the life of his ex wife.

In her defence, an emotionally charged Deborah, who almost cried like PF cadre Charity Banda told the court that Kalolo was a pathological liar who did not tell her the truth about his businesses.

She also lamented that when it came to giving her money, Kalolo’s hands were as short as a politician’s memory after elections.

“He’s lying, I never used to go out. I only started drinking alcohol last month. This man, your honour, never used to care for me, he never used to give me money. Even now, you can ask him if he ever gave me money. He had a lot of money, this man, he was filthy rich. He had cars and properties, but the only thing he ever bought for me was a phone. I discovered that he kept so many secrets from me about his money and properties. I only hear about his investments from his sisters,” she told the court.

“And after getting married, he never wanted me to work.”

With a mouth as wide as the Zambezi River, Deborah lamented to the court, saying, “aba bamuna, sinibafuna, this man can lie, I’m telling you, huh! He is not what I thought he was.”

During her submission, Kalolo interrupted her, saying, “how am I a liar today when I promised you marriage and I did marry you, so where is the lie?”

In his judgment, Magistrate Lewis Mumba gathered that the marriage was based on material things and not love.

“I have gathered that you got married to him because of money. When it finished, he is useless to you now, is that not so? There is no trust and love in this marriage,” Magistrate Mumba told Deborah.

To the man, the magistrate said: “When you marry, you become one. How many times will you marry if you continue divorcing? You were doing dubious business, that is why your money finished. And you fell for her because of her complexion. If you marry someone because of their complexion, it is a problem. Learn to marry decent women, you will have them for yourself. I have given custody of the child to the mother. You will be paying K1,500 as child maintenance per month and you will have to share household goods. No compensation to both parties because you are both problems.”
