TUTWA NGULUBE’S UNVEILED TOMBSTONE

Tutwa Ngulube, a lawyer and politician, served as the Member of the National Assembly for Kabwe Central from 2016 to 2021 under the Patriotic Front.

His career was a testament to his unwavering dedication to public service and the rule of law, earning him respect across legal and political circles.

However, his death on December 3, 2022, has since been enveloped in mystery, with unresolved questions casting a shadow over his legacy.

In an unusual turn of events, about a year after his passing, when his family sought to unveil his tombstone, their efforts were reportedly obstructed by state agents.

The reasons behind this intervention remain unclear, fueling speculation that superstition rather than formal legal considerations motivated the suppression.

Such a response is perplexing, challenging the norms that typically honor the deceased’s memory openly and respectfully.

To this day, Ngulube’s tombstone remains concealed, symbolizing a silent discord between state actions and personal mourning rituals.

This anomaly, combined with the lack of a clear explanation, adds to the mystery, leaving citizens to speculate on the true story of Ngulube’s death and the extraordinary circumstances surrounding his posthumous remembrance.
