MAKEBI VISITS XAVIER CHUNGU, SAYS FREEDOM IS COMING
Opposition NRP-UP presidential running mate Makebi Zulu has visited incarcerated former Zambia Intelligence Security Service Director General Xavier Chungu after what he calls several attempts.
Chungu who is also the presidential candidate for Liberal Democratic Party has been detained for over 10 days now after his public media appearances.
Zulu a constitutional lawyer managed to see Chungu today at Kabwata Police Station cells where he is detained.
“After several attempts we have finally been allowed to see Mr Xavier Chungu President of the Liberal Democrats Party who has been detained in Kabwata Police Station for weeks on end without being released in accordance with the law.
Freedom is coming,” Zulu said a while ago in a brief statement seen by Zambian Eye.
Chungu during his public appearance said just like he saw it in 1991 that the then Kenneth Kaunda government was going to lose elections, he sees the same situation heading to August 2026 elections.
