NGCUKAITOBI SAYS PRESIDENT HICHILEMA WANTED TO SPEND FORTY MINUTES WITH LUNGU’S BODY
The Lungu family lawyer, Tembeka Ngcukaitobi, presented a compelling case to the court detailing how the Zambian government introduced unagreed programmatic activities into a private burial arrangement.
Specifically, Ngcukaitobi highlighted the abrupt introduction of a 14:30 programme, which designated a 40-minute window for President Hakainde Hichilema to be alone with the body.
This unilateral imposition raised significant red flags for the family, as the theme, the celebrant, and the ultimate objective of the proposed ritual remained entirely unknown, leading to deep suspicions and the family’s refusal to travel with the body.
