SEAN TEMBO DISCOVERS SOMEONE CHANGED HIS PARTY TO A CHURCH SECRETLY

Leaders of the opposition party Patriots for Economic Progress (PeP), Sean Tembo and Chanda Katotobwe, say their presidential nomination process was blocked after the party allegedly discovered that its status at the Registrar of Societies had been altered.

According to the two leaders, records at the Registrar of Societies reportedly changed PeP’s registration from a political party to a church organisation focused on “ministry and preaching.”

The development is said to have disrupted the party’s efforts to file presidential nomination papers ahead of the elections.

The PeP leaders have since questioned how the changes were made and have called for clarification from relevant authorities regarding the party’s legal status.
