What game is Dr. Chitalu Chilufya Playing?
Former Matero MP who is the “legal” Patriotic Front President, Miles Sampa announced that the Patriotic Front will not feature or sponsor a presidential candidate.
It is clear that the legal cases in Kabwe, Court of Appeal and yesterday’s ruling by Judge Conceptor Chinyanwa Zulu cannot allow the PF to be on the ballot.
So why is former Minister of Health, Dr. Chitalu Chilufya insisting that he will stand as President? Why has he turned up at Mulungushi International Conferences Centre?
The documents showing that the PF was sponsoring him was signed by Edwin Lifwekelo, who is now the purported Deputy Secretary General but does not appear on the records at Registrar of Societies.
Further, the requirements at the Registrar of Societies will not allow Dr. Chilufya to stand.
Clearly legal and administrative hurdles would allow his candidature under the Patriotic Front.
So why is he insisting that he will file?
Is he part of a government public perception program to fight the tide against ECZ so that when he is disqualified, the Commission will look fair.
