WE CANNOT BE IN AN ALLIANCE WITH A DIRECTIONLESS PARTY—M’membe.

The reason opposition parties are failing to unite and work together is because of the uncertainties created by our colleagues from the Patriotic Front. Problems start when we sit down to elect the president of the alliance, our colleagues persistently propose Edgar Lungu as a suitable candidate.

Mr. Lungu is ineligible to contest elections in Zambia following the Constitutional Court’s ruling.

When we remind them than he cannot contest, they insist they have a Plan B but when asked for details of their plan B, they fail to provide any.

Lubinda does not know what Plan B is na Nakachinda wine tafishiba, only Lungu appears to know what plan B is.

As Socialist Party we cannot risk relying on this nonexistent Plan B from an ineligible individual. If we do, we risk not participating in the 2026 elections.
